Terms and Conditions: Scan to Result

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Scan to Result platform operated by Datagain Inc.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act on its behalf.

2. User Accounts

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account confidentiality
  • Ensuring accurate information
  • Managing assigned roles appropriately

Organizations are responsible for managing staff access within their structure.

3. Organizational Structure Access

Business accounts may include:

  • HQ users
  • Agencies
  • Branches
  • Staff members

Permissions are controlled by administrators.

Deletion or deactivation of an organization account may restrict access for associated users.

4. Scan Processing and Results

Scan to Result provides automated scan interpretation services.

Generated results:

  • May initially appear as pending
  • May be preliminary
  • May be updated after confirmation testing

The platform does not replace laboratory confirmation testing where required.

5. Confirmation Testing

Some workflows require confirmation testing through partner laboratories.

When confirmation testing is requested:

  • Payment may be required
  • Specimen submission instructions will be provided
  • Results may change after laboratory confirmation

Laboratory confirmation results should be considered authoritative where applicable.

6. Payment Terms

Payments for confirmation testing are processed through secure third-party providers.

Scan to Result does not store full payment credentials.

Refund eligibility may depend on laboratory processing status and confirmation workflow stage.

7. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • Misuse scanning workflows
  • Upload false information
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Reverse engineer platform components
  • Interfere with system security

Violation may result in suspension or termination.

8. Soft Deletion Policy

Accounts deleted through the platform are processed using soft deletion.

This means:

  • Login access is removed
  • Records remain stored for compliance purposes

9. Intellectual Property

All platform content including:

  • Software
  • Design
  • Workflows
  • Documentation

remains the property of Scan to Result or its licensors.

Users may not copy or redistribute materials without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

Scan to Result provides workflow automation support tools.

We are not liable for:

  • Misinterpretation of preliminary scan results
  • Improper specimen handling
  • External laboratory processing delays
  • Organizational misuse of role permissions

11. Service Availability

We aim to maintain continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Maintenance updates may occur periodically.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • Terms are violated
  • Security risks are detected
  • Required by law

Organizations may deactivate staff access at any time.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United States.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Continued use indicates acceptance of updates.
